Asara Intimates was born from a soft ache — the kind that lingers just beneath the skin. A desire for something more tender, more beautiful, more attuned to the rhythms of a woman’s body. Something that didn’t yet exist.

Founded on the Gold Coast by a 28-year-old former lawyer, Asara Intimates began not as a business plan, but as a calling — to build a world where period care could feel sensual, cinematic and deeply self-honouring. After years in the corporate world, chasing deadlines, shedding softness and putting health second, she felt the pull to step away and create. Not just for herself, but for all the women who, month after month, slipped into functional period underwear and felt a quiet disconnect.

Not ugly, exactly — but not beautiful either. Not seen. Not sensual. Just something to get through.

She had worn period underwear for years, grateful for the protection but never for the feeling. She wanted something that whispered luxury, something that invited presence, something that felt like it was made by someone who understood. And she knew she wasn’t alone. So she began sketching. Designing from intuition, not training. Learning everything from scratch and pouring every detail into pieces that feel like ritual objects — protective, poetic, softly powerful.

Each Asara Intimates piece is designed in Australia and ethically crafted by a boutique, sustainability-focused atelier in Bali. We work slowly, consciously, intimately — creating small-batch collections using breathable, natural fabrics that feel as good as they look.

Asara Intimates is not just periodwear. It’s a sanctuary — a monthly return to the self. A cinematic softening. A space where protection is sensual, function is ritual and beauty is never optional.
